Summary
Established in 1997, Direct English (re branded as 'English Talks') is an English language teaching institute situated in the heart of Cork City in the South West of Ireland. English Talks teaches English language classes to an international student demographic from the ages of 17-65+, who are looking to learn English as a second language or improve on their English speaking and writing skills.

In 2020, English Talks began reinventing themselves to adapt to the pandemic. They hired me to create a series of English learning material and books used for their blended learning business strategy and manage their active website.
Design Concept
The series of books was broken into the six stages of English that kept to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) framework. Each stage was made up of two books; a coursebook and workbook. And each of these books were divided into twelve chapters (or units) that grew increasing with difficulty as the student progressed.
It was my responsibility to develop and produce the layout the graphical content for each of these books to be printed and be used as e-learning material that would be hosted on their school's LMS platform. All content was either royalty free or originally created by myself.
I broke down the books into twelve chapters (units) that consisted of one or multiples of each of the learning critera;

After laying out the content for each book, I began using its content as marketing material to drive the school's new brand and produce social media campaigns to attract new students and international sponsors.
Other projects that I was involved in were English Exam books (ie. B2 First and IELTS).
